The office building was constructed using solid construction techniques with reinforced concrete and masonry. It stands as an independent unit and was founded on a load-bearing foundation slab. The floor slabs are classical cast-in-place concrete slabs. The load-bearing walls are predominantly built with masonry, except for the elevator walls, which were made of reinforced concrete. For vertical circulation, double-flight reinforced concrete stairs with landings are also provided. In an effort to improve soundproofing, the stairs are isolated from the rest of the structure using the Schöck Tronsole® sound insulation system, but they are not precast; instead, they are cast in place. The office building has a flat roof, which is designed as a warm roof and surrounded by reinforced concrete parapets on all sides.
The workshop is made of structural steel. Only the reinforced concrete foundations of the machine shop (strip and point foundations, frost skirts, floor slab, plinths) were part of our project requirements. The workshop is a separate element and is not connected to the office building.
