The residential building comprises 5 housing units across three above-ground levels (ground floor and two upper floors) and has a basement complete with technical rooms, bicycle parking spaces, and storage rooms.
The load-bearing elements are made of reinforced concrete (RC) and masonry (solid construction system). The foundation type is shallow and is executed as a slab foundation. As vertical load-bearing elements, mostly masonry walls are used, even for the exterior walls of the basement level. Only the walls of the elevator shaft are made of cast-in-place concrete. The floor slabs are traditional concrete slabs reinforced and poured in-situ. The roof structure is executed as a flat roof surrounded by masonry parapets on all sides.
For vertical communication, in addition to the elevator, a single-flight RC continuous staircase staircase without intermediate landings is provided. To improve sound insulation, the staircases were separated from the rest of the structure using the Schöck Tronsole® system, but they were not precast; instead, they were cast on-site. The balconies and entrance canopies were thermally isolated from the floor slabs using the Schöck Isokorb® system. This can help prevent thermal bridges and improve the energy efficiency of the building. Both balconies and canopies were reinforced and cast on-site.
